New Time Capsule placed at Esher Green Baptist Church!
Synergy Construction and Property Consultants LLP are currently providing Employer’s Agent and Cost Consultancy advice on a very exciting project at Esher Green Baptist Church in Esher.
Earlier this year Rev Lee Johnson, pastor of the Church, was handed a Victorian sealed glass preserving jar found during the demolition of the rear Hall at the Church in Esher. This demolition was being carried out as part of the Church re-development. The contents of the jar, which were undamaged, comprised a beautifully written two-page ‘Address’ given at the laying of the foundation stone in 1870 together with five booklets and papers of material published by the Sunday School Union in that year.
The Church Community decided to create a new time capsule for a future generation to discover, this new piece of history was installed in Esher Green Baptist Church on the 27th August 2013. The new capsule contains letters from Church members and elders, current church information, press cuttings and photographs of Church Activities. Building work at the Church is due to be completed at the end of this year.
