Our Sectors: Heritage
Synergy has over 35 years experience in the Heritage Sector and our merger with Bare Leaning and Bare in 2008 enhanced the practice’s skill base. We are proud to offer our clients a wealth of experience in the cost and project management of repairs and alterations to heritage buildings. Synergy relishes being part of the conservation process and is committed to training and being at the forefront of research into the care and conservation of our heritage. Our heritage team is passionate about conservation, with many of our staff holding post graduate diplomas in building conservation. Many of the projects we are involved with are only possible by external funding from grant making bodies such HLF, Cadw, ERDF and various trust funds. We assist our clients by being an active part of the application process and the drawing down of grants to assist cashflows.
Museums & Heritage Centres
We have broad experience in the construction and refurbishment of new and existing Museums and Heritage Centres. Refurbishments are commonly located within buildings of historic importance and some new buildings constructed within the curtilage of same. We have extensive knowledge and understanding of the constraints that this can impose upon a proposed development. We work with a wide range of consultants, including interpretation and lighting consultants, and are adept at appreciating their requirements to ensure projects remain in budget.
Some of our recent projects have included work at the American Museum in Britain near Bath, a major conservation project for English Heritage at the J W Evans Silver Factory exhibit in Birmingham and alterations and repair to Court Barn in Chipping Campden.
