Our Projects: St. Joseph’s Parish Centre
The parish merged with Holy Family at Reigate and St Teresa of the Child Jesus at Merstham to create the Parish of the Nativity of the Lord. There was a requirement for a new parish Centre to meet the extended needs of the local community.
The new building is situated between the existing church and the presbytery building that both remained in occupation throughout the works. The new parish centre provides fantastic new facilities for the future growth of the parish, these include a large social hall, meeting rooms, a new nursery, WC’s and community areas. It is also linked to the church via a new glazed opening giving a free flowing connection between the two buildings.
As part of the development an area of the church land was sold for housing development, this development took place the same time as the construction of the new parish centre
