Synergy is pleased to be providing Cost Consultancy Services for a new sustainable health and wellness centre at Bradfield College.
This new building will be located within the Bradfield Conservation Area on the site of an existing bungalow. The centre will play a significant role in enhancing the pastoral care provided to the pupils at the College.
The current medical facility is situated some distance from most boarding houses and was not originally designed for healthcare purposes. In contrast, the new centre will offer a range of flexible spaces addressing both clinical needs and other aspects of wellbeing such as counselling and physiotherapy.
Sustainability features have been integrated into the building’s design, including air source heat pumps, u-values that exceed building regulations requirements, triple glazed windows, and green infrastructure like a green roof and a rainwater harvesting tank.
Designed by Squires & Brown Architects, planning permission has recently been secured for this noteworthy project.
