Our Story
We are committed to supporting the development of all staff to ensure they reach their potential. We conduct regular training reviews with individuals to identify skill gaps or development needs.
A range of internal and external learning and development opportunities are made available across the business. Graduates working towards their professional qualifications are allocated an APC Counsellor and Supervisor to support and guide them through the two years of structured training and help them prepare for the final assessment.
In addition, a number of our senior team are RICS assessors and councillors as well as ad-hoc lecturers to the RICS. Across our business many of our staff have been supported in the advancement of their studies with many successfully gaining post-graduate diplomas.
Student Placements
Synergy see engagement with local schools and universities as a key way to improve sector knowledge and develop a pipeline of ‘home grown’ talent. We have created links with several schools and universities in our local communities and support them at their careers talks and fairs.
In addition we offer a number of 12 month industrial placements which provide valuable experience in working within the construction industry as well as limited 1 or 2 week school placements for students interested in pursuing a career within the construction profession.

My placement with Synergy is adding significant value to my understanding and enjoyment of the role through first hand experiences and training. Although I gained a basic understanding as to the processes and functions whilst at university, a lot of topics still didn’t quite add up, however, being on placement has allowed me to put those processes into fruition, and see how they interact in a real-world scenario, clarifying any gaps I had before joining.
What’s supported my growth at Synergy is the approachable culture and the strong sense of teamwork. We work well together, and there’s a genuine willingness to help one another. Everyone brings their own strengths and weaknesses, but I truly believe that the sum is greater than the parts. That collaborative spirit has made a big difference in my development.
I’m entering the final module of my CIM Level 4 Digital Marketing Course and I’m thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to learn about a broad range of marketing topics. The course is equipping me with tactical skills and exciting insights, giving me confidence to develop my marketing career further.
