Museums & Heritage Centres

We have broad experience in the construction and refurbishment of new and existing Museums and Heritage Centres. Refurbishments are commonly located within buildings of historic importance and some new buildings constructed within the curtilage of same. We have extensive knowledge and understanding of the constraints that this can impose upon a proposed development. We work with a wide range of consultants, including interpretation and lighting consultants, and are adept at appreciating their requirements to ensure projects remain in budget.

Some of our recent projects have included the new Roman Villa Museum and The Story of Gardening Museum in Somerset for Emily Estate Ltd and RHS Hilltop – The Home of Gardening Science, a new ground-breaking centre for horticulture excellence at RHS Wisley.

“We have worked with Synergy over the past three years – delivering a museum in Somerset. My experience of Synergy has been nothing short of stupendous! The team work hard, deliver to deadlines, provide balanced and well-rounded cost advise (for both large strategic ideas / options as well as detailed changes / amends), but most importantly to me is the ‘part of the same team pushing in the same direction approach”
