Our Projects: Whitehall Museum

Situated in a conservation area, Whitehall Museum is a grade II historic timber framed Tudor house building built in the early 1500’s. The original Tudor structure has been extended every 100 years and is a hybrid of different periods.

The building was given a new lease of life with renovation works, improvements in energy efficiency, and two extensions. The project also includes significant accessibility improvements ensuring wheelchair visitors can now access most of the interior of one of Sutton’s most historic buildings. The project was assisted by a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
