James has over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry across a wide range of sectors, including the conservation and re-imagining of historic buildings. His portfolio spans high-spec residential developments, state-of-the-art museums, and distinctive hotel projects.
He has collaborated with some of the country’s leading architects and worked with clients from private individuals to multinational companies.
James’ notable client list includes The Newt in Somerset where he has provided cost consultancy services on numerous projects over the last 9 years including the transformation of the Grade II*-listed building at the estate’s core into a luxury hotel, and the construction of new estate buildings to create a commercially viable visitor attraction. Among its highlights is the award-winning The Story of Emily Museum, The Story of Gardening museum and the Roman Villa museum along with The Creamery at Castle Cary Station.
