The application round for CIF 2027 to 2028 is now open. The latest CIF guidance has been released by the DfE and contains important dates and updates for the current bidding round. You can read it here.

Key dates:
- Launch of CIF 2027-28: 21 October 2026
- Deadline for new applicants to register for a CIF portal account: 12 noon, 30 November 2026
- Deadline for the bid with all supporting documents: 12 noon, 15 December 2026
- Estimated date of outcome: May 2027
