Weald of Kent Grammar School – their project journey so far

Since 2019, Synergy have been working with the Weald of Kent Grammar School on a number of major estate improvement projects.

Our first project with the school was the construction of a new science block. The two-storey steel frame building was designed to provide a safe, flexible and contemporary environment for both staff and students to enjoy the science curriculum. The internal fit out includes modern laboratory Trespa benching, a practical teaching space and demonstration area. The £500k project was completed in December 2020.

We have also supported the school to gain CIF bid funding for much needed replacement windows. This project was implemented in 2020 and has completely transformed the school and the quality of the teaching facilities.

Funded by Kent County Council, our team are currently working with the school on an expansion project to facilitate an additional form of entry. The new building will provide three classrooms.

Although the building will be single storey, the steel frame building structure and foundations will be future proofed and designed to take an additional storey to allow for further expansion.

Our team are delighted to work with school and to see the positive impact these projects have on enhancing the teaching environment at the school.

“Synergy has been working with us since 2019 and continue to provide us with an outstanding service. Their proactiveness and expertise has ensured the smooth delivery of our school building projects. We enjoy working with their team who go over and above to meet our needs. We are delighted to be working with them again on our current expansion project”
