Worth School – a New Sixth Form Centre on the Horizon
Synergy Construction and Property Consultants LLP are thrilled to be involved in the project delivery of a brand new sixth form centre at Worth School, West Sussex.
Established in the grounds of Worth Abbey and surrounded by 500 acres of countryside, the independent school sits in the High Weald area of outstanding natural beauty.
Located in the heart of the school campus, the building will become the new central academic core.
Synergy are pleased to be working alongside Tim Ronalds, the lead Architect on this project.
The designed CLT structure of engineered timber panels will provide a highly insulated, energy-efficient building, with tall extended windows maximising natural light, creating a healthy learning space with minimal impact on the wider environment. The two-storey centre will provide study and social spaces, classrooms, staff offices, a library and multi-purpose space.
Future phases will encompass a landscaped quad completed with paths and architectural planting. The south-east corner of the project site will be open to a panoramic vista of the beautiful Sussex countryside.
The new building is planned to open in the Autumn of 2021.
The Main Contractor is W. Stirland Ltd. Price and Myers LLP are the Structural Engineers and Max Fordham LLP are the M & E Engineers.
