The scheme is a significant investment for the school which aims to inspire even more pupils to engage in sport and support year-round physical activity and contribute positively to students’ health and wellbeing. From September, this fantastic new facility will provide multiple indoor courts, enabling the school’s sporting provision to continue irrespective of the weather.
Phase one of the scheme is now on site and includes a tensile roof over four tennis, three netball and up to eight pickleball courts, alongside a new performance strength and conditioning suite, changing facilities, and a spectator gallery. Improvements to parking will also be made, including EV charging provision and a new direct access point from Alresford Road.
Phase two will deliver a new leisure centre with flexible studio spaces, a fitness suite, café and changing facilities connecting to the existing swimming pool. Both projects will enhance the offer for pupils as well as the local community, with plans for holiday programs, leisure memberships, coaching opportunities and private hire.
