Our Projects: Bovingdon Primary Academy, Roof Repairs
After supporting Bovingdon Primary Academy with a successful CIF bid application, Synergy’s Building Surveying team has delivered vital roof repair works to areas of their Key Stage 1 building.
The roof coverings were in poor condition, causing water to pool on the surface and ingress internally, disrupting lessons in the classrooms below.
The roof has now been overlayed with a new Sika Liquid Tapered Roof scheme making the roof weather tight.
The installation of new insulation complies with current thermal standards and ensures that heat is no longer lost through the roof and roof lights, saving energy and reducing the school’s heating bills.
The rooflight and existing windows have been replaced with new ones to accommodate the height of the new insulation.
The project’s completion has had numerous positive outcomes, such as ensuring the health and safety of Bovingdon’s staff and pupils, improving their teaching and learning environment and extending the longevity of their existing building stock for the future.
