Our Projects: Cokethorpe School, New Changing Pavilion

Cokethorpe School is encompassed by 150 acres of beautiful parkland ten miles from Oxford, and home to historic buildings including the Grade II listed Mansion House and the Bell Tower.

It is an exciting period as the School has embarked on an ambitious development project to transform the estate and to enhance the Cokethorpe experience.

The most recent development involved relocating the existing changing rooms into a single storey changing pavilion. Set on the sports pitches to the north side of the Grade II Listed Mansion House, the new location has closer proximity to the sports facilities, providing improved access for pupils and staff.

The Pavilion houses individual changing rooms, each providing changing spaces for a full team and three showers. Additionally, there are ten individual WCs, a department office, staff changing rooms, a sheltered bag store and boot removal facilities. Each changing room can be accessed externally to help reduce circulation space.

Low scale and finished with timber cladding and a vibrant green roof, the new Pavilion’s aesthetic has been carefully designed to minimise the impact on the surrounding parkland setting and ensure a sense of place.
