Our Projects: Hazlemere Church, Alteration and Extension

Hazlemere Church in High Wycombe has been transformed through alteration works and the construction of a brand-new extension.

The multi-functional space is now highly adaptable to cater for the diverse needs of a thriving church and community hub.

Alterations include modernisation, repair and re-ordering of the existing worship space as well as repairing and retiling the 180-year-old roof.

The existing cramped offices were demolished and the new extension, The Trinity Centre, now provides the church with a Lounge, Atrium Cafe and multifunctional rooms, with the former entrance transformed into new offices for church staff.

The café is an ideal space for people of all ages to enjoy the locally roasted coffee and home-made food with the opportunity to connect with others. Adjacent to the café is the lounge, a calmer environment with rooms for offices, counselling and smaller meetings.

The area between the building and the road has been completely re-landscaped to include a large terrace area.

Now the church can provide improved facilities for existing members and open up the space to a variety of community groups to better serve the people of Hazlemere.

Synergy was delighted to provide cost consultancy services on this project working alongside Allen Associates Architects.
