Known as the Whitty Theatre, the building features a state of the art technical fit-out with a large reception foyer area, green rooms, drama classrooms and changing facilities all wrapped around a 178 seat fully functioning theatre.
The theatre offers flexibility with demountable central bench seating able to be repositioned around the sides. This allows for a thrust extension of the stage to create a more intimate acting space.
Featuring a mix of brick and timber cladding, the building has been finished to a high specification and has achieved BREEAM ‘Very Good’. The building has been designed to allow for future expansion to provide a stand-alone dance studio and workshop / storage facility.
