CIF projects in full swing on site
Synergy’s schools and academies team are busy managing many successful CIF projects that have started on site in the summer holidays.
This includes a major £1.3m replacement roof covering scheme at Westcliff High School for Boys.
Numerous pitched and flat roof coverings were in poor condition over the main school building, which were causing the school significant issues including water ingress in teaching areas.
Synergy diligently worked with the school to robustly demonstrate the urgent need for this project through a wide range of detailed evidence. CIF funding was successfully obtained in March 2024.
The project is now well underway on site. As well as replacement roof coverings, new insulation will be introduced across all roofs to significantly improve the building’s thermal performance.
Solar panels will also be installed to help reduce the school’s carbon impact.
