Nestled within the historic grounds of Leeds Castle in Kent, Synergy has helped deliver a collection of bespoke lakeside cabins overlooking the Great Water.
Inspired by Scandinavian design, the lodges are constructed from sustainable materials and thoughtfully integrated into the surrounding landscape. Combining contemporary architecture, modern comforts and idyllic surroundings, the cabins provide guests with a premium and tranquil retreat.
Synergy was appointed as Employer’s Agent for the four Lakeside Lodges, responsible for negotiating the contract for the foundations, below-ground services, steel frames, and landscaping works. In addition, we supported with the coordination of the delivery and installation of the lodges. The project was delivered on a fast-track basis, enabling site works to commence immediately upon the granting of planning permission.
Due to the site’s constrained lakeside location—a long, narrow bank with access from a single point—the construction works required careful sequencing. Foundations and drainage for all four units were completed first, followed by the installation of a temporary hardcore road and ground protection mats to facilitate crane access.
Each cabin was delivered in sequence at two-week intervals. Between deliveries, the temporary access was repositioned, foundations exposed, and the steel frame erected before craning each cabin into place.
Following installation, below-ground services, connections, and landscaping were completed progressively. External decks, bridges, and final service connections were then constructed on site, completing the development.
