Exciting Transformation Begins at Oxford High Prep School!

The commencement on site marks the initial phase of an exciting project to relocate Oxford High School’s Pre-prep school to the Prep School premises. This undertaking involves converting the extensive Victoria House into classrooms and enhancing accessibility through the installation of a new lift within the house and the construction of a rear extension incorporating a new staircase.

Additionally, the project includes the creation of a courtyard play area and the transformation of part of the adjacent garden into a woodland outdoor teaching space. These developments aim to provide ample outdoor play and learning areas for pupils while facilitating connectivity and circulation across the newly integrated school site.

This project will enable the refurbishment of a section of the existing Pre-prep school as part of this initial phase, allowing younger students to transition from their current location a few streets away.

Phase two of this significant project will involve the construction of a new assembly hall, anticipated to commence later this year following the demolition of the old, dilapidated coach house and pool. The new assembly hall will feature a tribute to the first Oxford English Dictionary, compiled at the neighbouring 78 Banbury Road.
