Client Testimonials

“I have had the pleasure of working with Synergy on and off for the past four years. The service they have provided to us in respect of drawing up a Masterplan, and more recently this year revisiting our Masterplan with a revised brief has been second to none.  Nothing is ever too much trouble, and most importantly for me, they are passionate and genuine about what they do and I thus have great confidence in their work.”

Sasha Stagg, Bursar – Salisbury Cathedral School

“The Stowe House Preservation Trust has worked with Bare Leaning and Bare for over ten years and their professional advice has served us well through one of the most extensive and costly restorations of any English country house. In the course of our work, we have delivered over £20m worth of restoration projects to the highest standards of quality, within budget and to timescales that enable us to continue running a major independent boarding school within a Grade I listed building. Synergy Bare Leaning and Bare’s advice is always considered, timely and accurate and they are an excellent company with whom to work.”

Nick Morris, Chief Executive Officer – Stowe House Preservation Trust

“The staff with whom I have worked at Synergy Bare, Leaning & Bare have an excellent and well-grounded understanding of historic buildings, which is vital to performing well in this field. They have consistently demonstrated a thorough-going attention to detail. I have found them very efficient in delivery, even when under pressure to produce tender documents in tight timescales. This is a highly professional firm, and always a reliable source of independent, objective cost advice.”

Nick Hill, National Conservation Projects Manager – English Heritage

“We now have a sports hall which is the envy of many and it is by no small measure because of the professionalism of Synergy, who also brought in on budget and on time.”

“Synergy was engaged by us to project manage the development of a £15m leisure centre. They provided a thoroughly professional service, constantly demonstrating full commitment to our project. Additionally, Synergy coordinated the work of the design team and the main contractor in a friendly manner, making the whole project an enjoyable experience. I would certainly engage Synergy on future projects.”

Ray Gerlach, Acting Director of Culture & Leisure – London Borough of Tower Hamlets

“Synergy were engaged to project manage the £16.5m complex refurbishment project of a Grade II listed 4 storey building that housed Swimming Pools Health and Fitness facilities and unique items such as Turkish Baths. They provided a professional service throughout, from inception through to completion of the project and were very committed to driving the project forwards to a high standard. Their energy and attention to detail were an important factor in co-ordinating all the professional services and delivering a high quality building to Islington Council.”

Mark Christodoulou, Head of Leisure – Islington Council

“As a Parish we are delighted with the work on our new parish centre and the work that was carried out with great efficiency, good communication and in a harmonious way to blend it with the current presbytery and church. Although living right next door to our building site and that of the land sold for housing development, the disruption was minimal, everything was carried out to minimise disruption for us as we continued to fully operate in St Joseph’s Church and the presbytery throughout the project. In my few words at the opening of the new centre I thanked both the quantity surveyor and project manager from “Synergy” who “mentored the Parish through the project, assisted with the engagement of contractors and ensured that the project was completed in a timely and financially secure manner.”

Fr. Chris Spain, Parish Moderator – St Joseph’s Church

“From Start to finish Synergy oversaw the project with a extremely high level of care and professionalism. They were always available on the phone to deal with questions and problems and regularly on site to inspect the project. I would highly recommend Synergy for any projects in the future and look forward to working with them on any other project that should arise.”

Michael Pearce, Church Manager – St Raphael’s Catholic Church

“Synergy Construction & Property Consultants were the School’s preferred quantity surveyors for our new project to build ‘state of the art’ learning facilities for the pre-prep department and an art, design and technology suite of classrooms all contained in a two storey building. The construction raised various challenges from the outset with the demolition of an existing building on the site and the requirement to blister on to existing classrooms without interruption. The design and materials that were to be used to produce an environmentally friendly building also gave the Quantity Surveyors some headaches to resolve. I am pleased to say that Synergy always managed to ensure their client was given a first class service and ensured that the costs were kept to budget.”

Mark Smith, Bursar – Cheam School
