First residential phase of the Sheerwater Regeneration reaches completion.

An exciting milestone has been reached with the completion of the first residential phase of the Sheerwater regeneration for Thameswey Development Ltd.

The completion of the purple phase is part of the wider multi-million transformation of the Sheerwater area of Woking. In all, the Sheerwater Regeneration will provide 1,142 high quality and energy efficient homes. The development is designed to provide a contemporary and sustainable ‘Garden Suburb’ with high quality dwellings, improved open green spaces and superb new leisure and community facilities. In addition, new retail spaces will boost employment and ‘Green Streets’ will improve pedestrian and cycle routes.

Contractor Gilbert Ash has completed the construction of the purple phase which comprises 10 townhouses and a six-storey medium rise block of 82 apartments in a courtyard arrangement.

The impact of roadside parked vehicles has been reduced on this phase with car parking concealed beneath a podium deck and landscaped gardens above. There are private, enclosed gardens with seating terraces for individual properties and communal open green spaces accessible to all residents. Solar PV is installed on the medium rise roof top providing a peak capacity of 73.8 kW – roughly enough to power over 12,000 LED bulbs simultaneously!

Synergy is delighted to be providing Cost Management and Employer’s Agent Services.
