Wendy Goodinson retires from Synergy

Wendy Goodinson in Synergy’s London office retired from Synergy this week, on 28 September 2023. She joined Johnson and Partners in 1978 as an office junior and is leaving 45 years later as an Associate Partner.

Wendy has been instrumental in delivering many outstanding and diverse education projects, including expansion projects at St Clement Danes School and Rickmansworth School, the new science block at Parmiters School, a new school at St. Albert the Great Catholic Primary School and the new STEM building at Watford Grammer school, just to name a few.

Throughout her time at the practice, Wendy has been known for creating strong and resilient relationships with numerous clients, whom she will dearly miss working with.

Wendy said:

“I can honestly say that I have been so lucky that I have enjoyed my working life for such a long time. This is because the work has been interesting and never dull. I was given the opportunity to progress and learn “on the job”. It is not an exaggeration to say that I have made so many friends from clients with whom we have worked with for such a long time.

I am now about to embark on a new way of life – which is quite scary! My friend and I have signed up for a 3-month art class in January and I’m looking at some voluntary work, possibly in education or similar. And of course, there is Joe, my horse, if he doesn’t find more ways of throwing me off!”

Everyone at Synergy wishes Wendy all the best in this next chapter!
