Synergy has significant experience in working with Academies and Trusts. We offer a partner led service that includes advice on maintenance and repair, space planning, alterations and extensions to their existing buildings as well as feasibility and design of new buildings.
Our Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers have advised more than 20 academies on the construction process between the local authority/PfS and framework contractors, aimed at protecting the academies interests and driving out the best value possible from the finite PfS ring-fenced funding.
Our multi-disciplinary practice means we offer our school clients a cohesive approach for all their building projects, and we always ensure a focus on practical and innovative solutions. We listen carefully to our clients brief and look to offer the best value for money whilst minimising disruption to the ‘day to day’ running of the school.
We have significant expertise in the preparation of funding bid applications for our Academies and we understand the importance of formulating robust and bespoke applications to ensure the best chance of securing funds for capital projects. For advice with you CIF Bid click here!
Community and Voluntary aided schools
We understand the challenges for Headteachers of Community and Diocesan schools in that, as well as being experts in teaching and learning, they are also responsible for the repair, maintenance and development of the school and buildings. We have been fully supporting schools with their buildings for over 50 years, providing a variety of construction and property related services.
We provide an accessible and personal service to all of our clients, and focus on achieving the best educational environment for staff and pupils. We look to minimise disruption on any maintenance or construction work and ensure a fully working school is maintained.
Our projects range from window replacements and single classroom extensions through to the feasibility and design of complete new schools. We can also assist with condition and measured surveys, advice on repairs and maintenance, health and safety and fire inspections, space planning and quality/cost control and assurance.

"Synergy Construction & Property Consultants were the School’s preferred quantity surveyors for our new project to build ‘state of the art’ learning facilities for the pre-prep department and an art, design and technology suite of classrooms all contained in a two storey building. The construction raised various challenges from the outset with the demolition of an existing building on the site and the requirement to blister on to existing classrooms without interruption. The design and materials that were to be used to produce an environmentally friendly building also gave the Quantity Surveyors some headaches to resolve. I am pleased to say that Synergy always managed to ensure their client was given a first class service and ensured that the costs were kept to budget."
Mark Smith, Bursar - Cheam School
"Synergy, Johnson and Partners listened to our needs and worked tirelessly to co-ordinate the design and building our new school. Without their support, guidance and expertise we would not have been able to undertake such a huge building project and we have really appreciated their professional approach."
Louise Fleming, Head teacher - St. Albert the Great Catholic Primary School
"In all matters relating to project management, budgeting, cost control and cost reporting, Synergy has consistently provided us with an impeccable service. We have already commissioned them for further work and I have no hesitation in recommending their expertise to other potential clients."
Norman Patterson, Bursar - Luckley House School
